Dr Antonio Napoli is helping with the OSA Incubators.
Project Technical Coordinator Dr Antonio Napoli (Infinera) is helping with the OSA initiative to organise the OSA Incubators Learning from Light: An OSA Incubator on Machine Learning.
This small, invitation-only meeting, part of the OSA Incubator Program, will be held at OSA Headquarters in Washington, DC on 28 – 30 April 2020.
Recent advances in machine learning have generated remarkable performance improvements in computer vision, robotics, natural language processing, self-driving cars and several other disciplines. This incubator, hosted by Rama Chellappa, University of Maryland at College Park; Antonio Napoli, Infinera Corp.; and Paul Campagnola, University of Wisconsin-Madison will bring together 30-40 experts to investigate the prospects of machine learning methodologies for processing and communicating optical information collected by optical systems. In addition, the incubator will address the potential for new science and applications in areas such as biomedical imaging/microscopy, machine learning for managing optical networks and enhancing their performance, neuro-optical computing and remote sensing.
Details regarding the registration, hotel and agenda will be available shortly. If you would like information on sponsoring the meeting, or have any logistical questions, please contact OSAIncubator@osa.org.
