Bronze award in the Huawei PhD contest 2022

Emadreza Soltanian, the WON fellow and a PhD candidate of the Photonics Research Group (Ghent University – imec), has been awarded a bronze prize in the Huawei Silicon Photonics PhD Student Contest 2022 organised by Huawei Technologies Research and Development Belgium NV. In the Won project, Emadreza’s main research focus is on integrating III-V on Si narrow-linewidth widely tunable laser sources.
At the PhD contest, he presented the work on “Micro-Transfer-Printed Narrow-Linewidth Widely Tunable III-V-on-Si Laser over S+C+L-Bands”.
