Prof. Ronald Freund

Prof. Ronald Freund received the Dr.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from Technical University of Ilmenau (TUI), in 2002. In 2013 he received an MBA degree from RWTH Aachen. Since 1995 he has been with the Heinrich Hertz Institute in Berlin, where he is currently leading the Department of Photonic Networks and Systems. Since 2017 he is also a full professor for optical communications at the TUB.
